Patna: A 16-year-old girl was shot in the shoulder after two youths allegedly chased her into a tailor’s shop and opened fire near RPS Mor in Patna’s Danapur police station area on Sunday evening. The incident took place near Arya Samaj DAV Public School, triggering panic in the area.The girl, a resident of RPS Mor, was rushed by her family to a private hospital, where she is undergoing treatment. Police said the bullet grazed her shoulder.The girl entered the shop and hid behind the shopkeeper to escape the attackers. The youths allegedly followed her and demanded she come out, threatening to shoot the shopkeeper when he intervened. They allegedly dragged her out and opened fire during a scuffle, hitting her shoulder, before fleeing while brandishing weapons.The injured girl used the shopkeeper’s phone to inform her family, who took her to hospital.Danapur police station SHO Prashant Kumar Bhardwaj said CCTV footage from the shop and nearby areas was being examined to identify the accused.Danapur SDPO I Ajit Kumar said raids were being conducted to arrest the accused and the motive was being investigated. “It also came to light that one youth was also injured in the firing and admitted at AIIMS-Patna, but the police are verifying this,” he said.
