In the overseas market, silver futures increased 1.28% to $68.95 per ounce.
Silver prices rose 0.97 per cent to ₹2.45 lakh per kg in the futures trade on Friday amid a firm global trend.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the white metal for September delivery increased by ₹2,369, or 0.97 per cent, to ₹2,45,612 per kilogram in a business turnover of 2,663 lots.
Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in silver prices, analysts said.
