New Delhi: Two minors were apprehended for allegedly stabbing a 25-year-old hotel worker with a kitchen knife following an argument over the taste of food in northeast Delhi’s Kabutar Market. The injured man was identified as Ehasan, a local resident.According to police, the incident took place at 9pm Friday. Ehasan was taken to Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital by his neighbour and was later referred to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital for further treatment.During the preliminary inquiry, police learnt from the hotel owner that Ehasan was on duty when two customers allegedly got into an argument with him over the taste of the food they had ordered. The duo allegedly attacked him with a sharp-edged weapon before fleeing.A case was registered under Sections 109 (attempt to murder) and 3(5) (common intention) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Welcome police station.A senior police officer said, “Following technical and field investigation, the two were traced and apprehended.”Police said both suspects were found to be minors, aged 14 and 15. During questioning, they allegedly admitted their involvement in the incident. The vegetable-cutting knife used in the attack was also seized.Police are also examining the circumstances that led to the altercation and verifying the sequence of events.
