Patna: Two people died and two others were seriously injured after a motorcycle carrying four people collided head-on with a tractor near Jamunipur village on the old NH-30 Danapur main road in Patna district late Monday night.The deceased were identified as Vicky Kumar and Kunal Kumar, both residents of Goraiyasthan Jivrakhan Tola in Maner area.According to local residents, all four were riding on the same motorcycle when it collided with a tractor. The impact left two motorcycle riders dead at the spot, while the other two sustained serious injuries. They were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.The accident caused panic in the area, following which residents from nearby villages rushed to the spot. Locals helped transport the injured to the hospital and informed the police.Maner police reached the spot shortly afterwards and sent the bodies to Danapur sub-divisional hospital for the postmortem.Maner police station SHO Rajneesh Kumar confirmed the accident, saying four people were riding on a motorcycle, of whom two died and two were injured. “Their families have been informed. The police are further investigating the incident,” he said.
