Nissan Motor India Pvt Ltd on Tuesday reported a 2.2 per cent rise year-on-year in total wholesales in August at 9,350 units.
The automaker’s total wholesales in the month under review comprised 3,426 units in the domestic market and 5,924 units in exports.
The company had posted total wholesales of 9,153 units in August last year.
Nissan Motor India’s domestic wholesales recorded a 147.5 per cent growth at 3,426 units in August, compared to 1,384 units in the corresponding month a year ago.
“The company’s domestic wholesale performance was underpinned by sustained demand for the Magnite and Gravite, along with a strong market response to the all-new Nissan Tekton, resulting in a 147 per cent year-on-year increase,” it stated.
