Domestic silver futures rise to ₹2.46 lakh per kg

Silver prices rose 0.09 per cent to ₹2.46 lakh per kg in futures trade on Monday, supported by fresh position building by participants.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the white metal for September delivery increased by ₹222, or 0.09 per cent, to ₹2,46,819 per kilogram in a business turnover of 3,748 lots.

Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in silver prices, analysts said.

In the overseas market, silver futures decreased 0.19 per cent to $68.86 per ounce.
