Two held for objectionable posts against CM, ex-CM in Kaimur

Sasaram: Kaimur Police on Wednesday arrested two persons for allegedly posting objectionable content against CM Samrat Choudhary and former CM Nitish Kumar on social media. The cyber police station, with assistance from the Town police, carried out the arrests. Further legal proceedings are underway.The accused were identified as Ajit Paswan alias Amit Paswan, son of Phoolchand Paswan and a resident of Sarewan under the Bhabua town police station area, and Ram Singh, son of Dayal Singh and a resident of Nonra village. An FIR has been registered against both at the cyber police station.According to Kaimur SP Shikhar Choudhary, police received information on June 30 about an objectionable post being circulated through a Facebook page titled “Bhabhua Vidhansabha 205.” The post allegedly contained abusive and obscene remarks against the CM and the former CM.Following the complaint, a special team led by Cyber DSP Neetu Singh and Bhabua Town SHO Mukesh Kumar launched an investigation. The team identified the accused and subsequently arrested them.Kaimur Police reiterated that creating or sharing content on social media that promotes hatred, incites violence or targets any individual, religion, caste or community is a punishable offence under the law.The SP urged citizens to use social media responsibly, avoid forwarding or sharing unverified and objectionable content, and immediately report such posts to the nearest police station or Dial 112.
