Patna: In view of the expected heavy rush of pilgrims during the ‘Shrawani Mela’ season, the railways has decided to operate one pair of special trains between Howrah and Natesar to facilitate smooth travel of devotees heading towards the famous Deoghar temple in Jharkhand.ECR CPRO Saraswati Chandra said the Shrawani Mela special train will run from July 5 to September 30. The Howrah–Natesar special will depart from Howrah at around 11.50 pm on every Sunday, Tuesday and Friday from July 5 onwards and will reach Natesar at 12 noon the next day, he said.However, on its return journey the special train will leave Natesar at 1 pm on every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from July 6 onwards and will arrive at Howrah at around 4.30 am the following day. The train will run via key stations including Asansol, Jasidih, Jhajha, Kiul, Sheikhpura, Biharsharif and Rajgir, providing convenient connectivity for pilgrims en route to the revered Baidyanath Temple, he said.The special service has been introduced to manage seasonal passenger rush and ensure safer, more comfortable travel for devotees during the peak pilgrimage period. The special train will have a load composition of 18 coaches which include 3AC (one), sleeper (seven), general coach (eight) and brake van (two), CPRO said.
