NDA wins debate competition
G D Goenka student ties rakhi to police personnel

Patna: Notre Dame Academy won the trophy at the Inter-School Grand Debate English Competition organised by the school in collaboration with its Parent Teacher Association (PTA). Students from 14 prominent schools participated.In the junior category, Akshita Sagar of the host school was named First Best Speaker, followed by Shanaya Singh of St Joseph Convent High School and Kanishka Mittal of NDA. In the Senior Category, Shanaya Singh secured the First Best Speaker title, while Sneha Ghosh of NDA, Patna and Harsh Raj of NDA, Barh, won the second and third positions respectively.The junior debate topic was “Use of Artificial Intelligence Should Be Banned in School Assignments,” while seniors spoke on “Life Skills Are More Important Than Academic Success.” The event aimed to promote confidence, critical thinking, effective communication and public speaking among students.Principal Sr Mary Neha SND congratulated the participants and appreciated the efforts of the organisers, teachers and judges.Rakhi celebration at G D Goenka Public SchoolPatna traffic police celebrated Raksha Bandhan with schoolchildren and Gen-Z youth at G D Goenka Public School in a special programme. School principal Madhukar Jha said the programme was organised under the direction of the Patna Superintendent of Police (Traffic) and the leadership of the Deputy Superintendent of Police (IV).During the programme, students tied rakhis to traffic police personnel and interacted with them, learning about their demanding duties, round-the-clock efforts and public service.Traffic police officers and personnel, ICCC staff and NCC cadets also participated in the programme. The interaction between the traffic police and the students and Gen-Z youth highlighted safety, respect and awareness as part of the celebration.
