Buxar: A 49-year-old man died after being electrocuted while bathing at his in-laws’ house in Dhobahi village under Rajpur police station area of Buxar district on Sunday.According to police, the deceased was identified as Premchand Singh, son of Chaturi Singh and a resident of Banni village. Premchand had been staying at his in-laws’ house for some time. He came in contact with a live electric wire while bathing and suffered a severe electric shock. Family members and villagers rushed to his aid, but he died on the spot.Rajpur SHO Vikas Kumar said prima facie the death appeared to have been caused by electrocution. However, the exact cause would be confirmed after receipt of the postmortem report. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
