Govt to hand over land allotment certificates to 30k families on Aug 15

Patna: The state govt will hand over homestead land allotment certificates to 30,000 landless families on Aug 15, revenue and land reforms minister Dilip Kumar Jaiswal said on Tuesday.Jaiswal said his department’s secretary, Jai Singh, has issued detailed instructions to all district magistrates in this regard. The DMs have been directed to review and finalise the list of beneficiaries, ensure the registration of new eligible families on the ‘Abhiyan Basera’ portal, and complete the process of preparing and signing all allotment certificates by July 31.The minister said the govt is continuously working to provide a dignified life to the poor and landless families. “Under ‘Abhiyan Basera-02’, allotment certificates have already been issued to 71,569 eligible families in the state, granting them land for housing. Now, on the Independence Day, thousands of new beneficiaries will be brought under the ambit of this scheme through another major drive,” he said.The highest targets among the 30,000 beneficiaries to be finalised have been fixed for Patna district (1,709), followed by East Champaran (1,493), Muzaffarpur (1,405), Madhubani (1,314), Gaya (1,285), Samastipur (1,247), Saran (1,157), and Darbhanga (1,153).He said the entire process of certificate distribution would be conducted online via the ‘Abhiyan Basera’ portal to ensure transparency and accountability. “On Aug 15, the certificates will be handed over to the beneficiaries at main functions held at district headquarters or at special camps, in the presence of public representatives and dignitaries,” the minister said.He added the progress of this campaign would be reviewed weekly at the headquarters level. He instructed all DMs to personally review the campaign regularly and submit weekly progress reports to the department after completing all preparations within the stipulated timeframe.
