Patna: Encouraged by the popularity of its undergraduate agriculture course, the Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) has introduced an MSc programme in agriculture from the 2026-27 academic session.Vice-chancellor Kameshwar Nath Singh said the programme has been launched under the university’s motto of “campus for community”. He said the initiative aims to promote academic excellence through “collective reasoning” while addressing the needs of the agriculture-based Magadh region.The university has invited applications for 15 seats, with five seats each in agronomy, horticulture, and genetics and plant breeding.CUSB’s examination controller said admissions will be through a written entrance examination to be held on July 15 at the university’s Gaya campus. The test will comprise 100 objective-type questions based on the B Sc agriculture and horticulture syllabus.
