Patna: Chief minister Samrat Choudhary said on Tuesday that 211 new degree colleges would become functional from Wednesday. He also said that decks have been cleared for establishing a central university at Vikramshila in Bhagalpur.Choudhary made the announcements through his social media handle.“The opening of 211 new degree colleges (one in each of as many blocks) will become a reality tomorrow. This initiative is a historic step towards making them strong centres of higher education, research and innovation,” he said.Regarding the establishment of a central university at Vikramshila, the CM said decks have been cleared and that it would be set up on 200 acres of land. The university would uphold the glory of ancient Vikramshila University, he added.
