Patna: The state industries department signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with UAE-based AIM Global Foundation in Dubai on Tuesday to set up a dedicated food processing park in Bihar.The integrated agro-food and processing cluster will seek investments from the UAE and the wider Gulf region, with the aim of attracting companies, institutions and investors to the state.The MoU was exchanged in the presence of industries minister Shreyasi Singh. It was signed by Kundan Kumar, secretary, industries department, and H E Dawood Al Shezawi, president of AIM Global Foundation. Director of industries Mukul Kumar Gupta was also present.The initiative seeks to tap Bihar’s agricultural potential and position the state as a sourcing and processing hub for the food supply chains of Gulf nations.Shreyasi said the partnership was a crucial step towards making Bihar a preferred global investment destination. She said the park would link local farmers and food processing units directly with international supply chains.Kundan said the collaboration would lay a strong foundation for long-term economic growth.“We are committed to identifying concrete investment opportunities and driving the project forward,” he said.
