NEW DELHI: Social media influencer Shradha Singh, who came under intense online scrutiny after her viral video featuring Rapid Action Force (RAF) personnel and the subsequent controversy at the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)-led protest at Jantar Mantar, has shared what she described as her “final post” on the episode, thanking supporters and saying she wants to move on.In a video posted on social media, Singh said she no longer wanted to prolong the controversy and hoped to “close this chapter”.“This is my final post about everything that has happened,” she wrote in the caption, adding that life was “too precious to stay stuck in one moment”.Thanking those who supported her through the controversy, Singh said the positive comments and messages she received had helped her overcome the negativity.She said that while earlier she had to search for encouraging comments, she now saw them in abundance and that they had “covered up” the hateful remarks directed at her.Responding to criticism that she was “playing the victim card”, Singh said she had even started controlling her emotions because people were mocking her for crying.She also said people continued to abuse and target her despite the fact that she had “not abused the Prime Minister, his mother or the Army.”Referring to the viral RAF video, Singh said she had only made a video with the personnel and had later apologised for it.She also said the extensive media attention surrounding the controversy had amplified the situation, though she thanked sections of the media for helping her during the difficult period.“I just want to say thank you to everyone who stood by me, understood me, and took the time to send kind comments and heartfelt DMs. Your love, prayers, and support gave me strength when I needed it the most,” she wrote.“Now, I truly want to close this chapter. I don’t want this situation to continue any further. Life is too precious to stay stuck in one moment. Let’s leave the past behind, move forward with kindness, and focus on better days ahead,” the post added.The latest video comes weeks after Shradha found herself at the centre of a social media storm over a video with RAF personnel and amid the wider controversy surrounding the CJP-led NEET protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar.She had earlier apologised over the RAF video and subsequently alleged that online trolling, memes and intense public scrutiny had taken a severe emotional toll on her.
