Cong, ML: Release students: Congress and CPI(ML) on Tuesday demanded withdrawal of FIRs and release of students arrested during protests against alleged NEET paper leaks, accusing the govt of criminalising student movements. CPI(ML) state secretary Kunal said the party’s July 30 district-level demonstrations would continue until the govt fulfils its assurance on the issue. Congress functionaries Krishna Allavaru and Vinod Jakhar visited Beur jail to meet arrested student netas and later met injured students undergoing treatment at Medanta hospital. Jakhar also connected them with Rahul Gandhi over phone.
