Patna: Police on Saturday busted an alleged sex racket operating from a guest house on Ghod Daud Road under the Rajiv Nagar police station area in Patna and arrested five people during a raid conducted by the police.Acting on a tip-off about suspicious activities at the guest house, the police team raided the G+4 building and conducted a floor-by-floor search. During the operation, officers found several young men and women in different rooms and recovered objectionable materials, including condoms, from the premises.Two IPS-rank officers supervised the raid. The arrested people were taken to Rajiv Nagar police station for questioning. Police said efforts were underway to ascertain the identities and roles of others allegedly linked to the racket.SDPO (law and order-II) Sushma Sagar said police had received inputs about suspicious activities at the guest house for several months. The police had been monitoring the premises for nearly two months and was waiting to act on specific information.On Saturday, police received information that a number of young men and women were present at the guest house, following which the raid was conducted. During the operation, some staff members and the guest house owner allegedly fled the premises, while a few young men escaped through a rear exit before they could be detained.Police said further investigation is underway to identify all those involved and determine the extent of the alleged racket.
