Patna: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) will roll out a 24×7 digital learning platform for students of Classes IX to XII in 688 model schools from Aug 15, while also expanding free online JEE and NEET coaching to 146 senior secondary model schools across the state.BSEB chairman Thiyagrajan SSM announced the initiatives at a training-cum-brainstorming camp organised by the education department in Patna on Sunday. Education minister Mithilesh Tiwari, senior department officials, district education officers and district programme officers attended the programme.Under the new initiative, students will be able to access teachers round the clock through the BSEB E-Learning App. They can select their class, subject and topic, attend live sessions, submit questions and get their doubts resolved online. The service will be provided free of cost.Officials said the platform is designed to offer instant academic support, detailed explanations and personalised guidance to students studying in government schools.BSEB is also set to expand its free JEE and NEET coaching programme. The board currently runs free residential coaching in Patna for 200 students annually, with 100 seats each for engineering and medical aspirants. Non-residential coaching is also being provided to 50 students annually in each of the nine divisional headquarters districts.Following the response to the programme, free evening coaching has already been introduced in 10 model schools in Patna. The facility will now be extended online to 146 senior secondary model schools across Bihar. BSEB is establishing a dedicated studio at its headquarters to deliver the classes. Until then, students will be provided access to topic-wise video lessons prepared by expert teachers.
