Pune: NCP (SP) working president Supriya Sule on Monday criticised the functioning of Mahayuti govt, saying that almost every district is witnessing agitation on different issues but the govt is not having dialogues with the protesters.Referring to Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange’s call to March to Mumbai to intensify the agitation, Supriya said, “Whoever is agitating, it is govt’s moral responsibility to have a dialogue with them. Be it agitation on Maratha reservation issue, MPSC aspirants’ protest, tribal students agitation, almost every district is witnessing protests. In a democracy, discussion should happen. The govt’s is elected to have dialogues with common people and resolve the issues. It can send some mature representatives (to meet Jarange) and try to find a solution.”Supriya visited Ganesh Mandals in Pune on the first day of the festival on Monday. She said, “We welcome Ganapati Bappa wholeheartedly but at the same time, we are worried about the farming community. I seek blessings of Lord Ganesha and expect some more rain in Marathwada and Vidarbha to give some respite to farmers who are in extreme distress. Our party workers are trying to gather more information on farm losses due to a drought-like situation. I appeal to the govt to review the situation without any further delay and release compensation to farmers at the earliest. Last time, govt took almost eight months to roll out the farm loan waiver scheme.”
