PUNE: A political row erupted on Monday when MNS chief Raj Thackeray’s son Amit Thackeray asked his supporters to remove Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s photo installed next to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s photo at a government polytechnic institute in Pune.Amit was on a visit to various educational institutions in Pune, and when he went to meet the principal of the polytechnic institute, he objected to the photo of PM Modi being placed next to Shivaji Maharaj’s photo.While there were photos of Dr BR Ambedkar and President Draupadi Murmu also on the same wall, he asked his supporters to remove the Prime Minister’s photo.BJP has criticised MNS for the incident, calling it an example of political immaturity.Leader of the house in PMC Ganesh Bidkar said, “These photos are installed in every govt establishment as per the protocol. However, MNS workers have shown political immaturity by removing the photo of the Prime Minister.”
