Madhubani: The district transport office (DTO) will organise a National Lok Adalat on its premises from 10am to 4.30pm on Sept 12 to help vehicle owners clear pending traffic challans.The Lok Adalat will hear and settle challan cases pending for more than 90 days. Cases related to challans under the jurisdiction of Jhanjharpur civil court and Benipatti civil court will also be settled as per the prescribed procedure.The district transport officer said the National Lok Adalat would provide a simple and speedy way to resolve pending traffic challan cases. He appealed to vehicle owners and drivers whose challans have been pending for more than 90 days to appear at the district transport office on the scheduled date and get their cases settled.Officials said the initiative would help people get relief from pending cases and avail benefits available under the prescribed provisions.The district administration and the district transport office have urged vehicle owners and drivers to use the opportunity to settle their pending traffic challans in time.
