Silver prices on Thursday fell by ₹836 to ₹2,36,999 per kilogram in futures trade as participants reduced their bets.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for September delivery declined by ₹836, or 0.35 per cent, to ₹2,36,999 per kg in a business turnover of 857 lots.

Analysts said a sell-off by participants mainly weighed on silver prices.

Globally, the white metal was trading 0.18 per cent up at $65.44 per ounce in New York.
