Patna: BJP state president Sanjay Saraogi on Friday described Samrat Chaudhary’s elevation as Bihar chief minister as a historic achievement for the party, saying it fulfilled a long-standing aspiration of party workers in the state.Inaugurating the BJP office in Khagaria, Saraogi said Choudhary had held several key responsibilities, including state president, vice-president, minister and deputy chief minister, before becoming chief minister under the NDA govt.He credited the party’s workers for strengthening the BJP’s organisational base across Bihar. “It is due to the hard work, sacrifice and dedication of these workers that the BJP has become the world’s largest political party,” Saraogi said, adding that workers had taken the party’s ideology to every village.Saraogi said Bihar had moved from the era of “Jungle Raj” towards “Sushasan” under former chief minister Nitish Kumar. Under Samrat’s leadership, he said, the focus was now on converting good governance into prosperity, with emphasis on education, administrative reforms and resolving public grievances.He also attacked the Congress over the “Vande Mataram” issue, asserting that there could be no compromise on respect for the national song and martyrs. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was strengthening nationalism and national pride.
