NEW DELHI: A special fast-track court at Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Courts on Wednesday reserved its order on a plea seeking polygraph, brain mapping and lie detector tests of three accused in the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case.The court will pronounce its verdict on August 10.The application was moved on behalf of accused Mangilal Biwal, Dinesh Biwal and Vikas Biwal, members of the Jaipur-based Biwal family, who are among the key accused in the alleged multi-state paper leak network.Opposing the plea, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) argued that the application was not maintainable and urged the court to impose heavy costs on the accused.The agency submitted that the Centre had already constituted a special fast-track court under the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act to ensure an expeditious trial in the case.After hearing submissions from both sides, the court reserved its order till August 10.The NEET-UG 2026 paper leak probe has so far uncovered an alleged multi-state network involving the circulation of question papers through couriers, messaging platforms and coaching networks across several states.Investigators have identified the Biwal family as being at the centre of the Rajasthan leg of the alleged conspiracy.The CBI has been probing the case after taking over the investigation into the alleged leak, with multiple arrests made across states and several accused currently lodged in judicial custody.(With ANI inputs)
