Ara: The historic Veer Kunwar Singh Park in Ara has undergone renovation and beautification, with the district administration adding new facilities and upgrading existing infrastructure.Located at Ramna Maidan in Ara, the redeveloped park is set to reopen for residents and visitors with improved amenities and recreational facilities.According to information shared by the Bhojpur district magistrate’s (DM) office on Tuesday, the park now has CCTV surveillance, a yoga zone, a selfie point, a cafeteria, chilled drinking water facilities, an open gym, a floating garden, a children’s play area, an aquarium, a fountain, boating facilities, improved lighting and additional seating arrangements.District officials said the redevelopment work included landscaping, expansion of green spaces, strengthening of walkways, improvement of sanitation facilities and installation of civic amenities.“The renovated park will provide facilities for children, youth, women and senior citizens for recreation, fitness activities, yoga, morning and evening walks,” a senior official associated with the project said.The entrance gate, pathways and other structures have been built using natural stones sourced from Jaipur, officials said.The district administration has appealed to residents to help maintain cleanliness, greenery and public infrastructure at the park to preserve the historic site.praveensibu@gmail.com
