Panaji: Goa Forward Party president Vijai Sardesai on Friday approved the proposal to dissolve the Curchorem block committee with immediate effect. The party has also relieved Dattaraj Raut Dessai from the position of joint secretary and from the primary membership of the Goa Forward Party (GFP), with immediate effect.“We have had two or three meetings with Dattaraj, and there were a lot of discussions with him. After discussing with him, we took a decision to relieve him. The party has taken a decision, and he is in agreement with the decision,” said Vikas Bhagat, the spokesperson for GFP.Dessai had joined GFP in June and had taken up several issues in the constituency, particularly the availability of drugs and bad roads.
