Rlys to run spl trains for Pitripaksha Mela

Patna: With the upcoming Pitrapaksha Mela at Gaya, the railways has announced special passenger trains on the Rani Kamlapati (Bhopal)–Gaya and Jabalpur–Gaya routes to facilitate pilgrims travelling for ancestral rituals and to ensure a comfortable journey.According to East Central Railway (ECR) Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) Saraswati Chandra, the Rani Kamlapati–Gaya special train (01661/01662) will depart Rani Kamlapati at 3.20 pm on Sept 29, Oct 2 and Oct 7, reaching Gaya at 2.30 pm the next day. On the return run, it will leave Gaya at 3.30 pm on Sept 30, Oct 5 and Oct 10, arriving at Rani Kamlapati at 4.15 pm the following day.The train will have two AC-2 coaches, two AC-3 coaches, four sleeper class coaches and four general coaches, he said.ECR will also operate the Jabalpur–Gaya special passenger train (01701/01702) during the mela period. The Jabalpur–Gaya service will depart Jabalpur at 9.25 pm on Sept 21, Oct 4 and Oct 9 and will reach Gaya at 2.30 pm the following day. On its return journey, the train will leave Gaya at 6.55 pm on Sept 28, Oct 3 and Oct 8 and will arrive at Jabalpur at 8.10 am the next day, CPRO said adding the Jabalpur–Gaya special train will also consist of two AC-2 coaches, two AC-3 coaches, four sleeper class and four general coaches.Railway authorities said the additional trains have been planned keeping in view the expected rush of devotees during the Pitrapaksha Mela and to provide hassle-free transportation facilities to pilgrims visiting Gaya .
