Buxar: Police on Tuesday claimed to have solved a student abuse case within four days with the arrest of four people, including two teachers, a school headmaster and another person, for their alleged involvement in the crime and subsequent attempts to evade arrest.Dumraon SDPO Sameer Kumar Singh said police received information on Sept 3 that a former student of a middle school in Buxar district had allegedly been abused by teacher Arvind Kumar with the involvement of other teachers and associates. Evidence related to the incident was also circulated on WhatsApp and social media, police said.Buxar SP Shubham Arya formed a special team headed by Sameer to investigate the allegations and arrest those involved. A case was registered on Sept 3 on the complaint of the girl’s mother.The team collected evidence, conducted technical investigations and gathered human intelligence. Police arrested the school headmaster, who allegedly knew about the incident, followed by Arvind.Another accused, teacher Virendra Pal, allegedly kept changing his location to evade arrest before being apprehended. Police said interrogation revealed Vikas Kumar had allegedly helped the accused evade arrest and was involved in other illegal activities linked to the case. He was also arrested.Police records show a previous case against Virendra Pal under the IPC and SC/ST Act.
